Firstly, I had heard about Go-popvideo and really wanted to do it. We wanted to do dancing and have our make-up done without the focus on the singing! We chose to do it in Brighton, and planned the whole hen weekend around the Go-popvideo- that’s how confident I was that that everyone would love it - and as it turned out, it was even better than I thought!
When booking the experience everyone I spoke to both on email and on the phone was really helpful, and always got back to me if I had any queries. On the day itself the team were brilliant; with things like this, it can really come down to the team on the day. We had two make-up artists a filmmaker and a choreographer; they all made us feel so relaxed, that when we started filming, we didn’t care that we were dancing in front of people we didn’t know, they made us feel so comfortable that it didn’t matter!
Originally I wasn’t sure about having my hen do in Brighton, but when my sister Rachael told me that we could do the Go-popvideo there, I thought, you know what, I trust your judgement, so let’s do it… I was right to, I loved it!!!
Towards the end of the shoot, we each got to do an individual freestyle section. One of the girls in the group (who we didn’t realise used to be a dancer) went into the middle of the circle and did the splits (for the first time in 13years!!) It was so unexpected, it was brilliant!
We cannot wait, everyone on the day hasn’t stopped talking about it, and we can’t wait to see it! If it all turns out as well as we expect, there’s talks of playing it at the wedding!
Charlie (the choreographer said): The girls were brilliant, they were really up for it, and so much fun! I loved the song choice, as I haven’t done a Go-popvideo to it before, so it was great to do something a bit different.
Ellie (one of the make-up artists said): The group really got into the theme with amazing costumes and hairstyles! They looked fantastic and it really added to the whole feel of the shoot!
Definitely, I don’t know which yet, but it’s going to happen!
On behalf of my sister (bride to be) and myself I would like to say a massive thank you for the pop video. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves and didn't stop laughing. Charlie our choreographer was great. She broke down the dancing routine step by step and joined in the banter. She made us all feel comfortable and created a good atmosphere.
Thank you again. I will be recommending you to friends and family.
